Decembeard extends into Januhairy

Sunday, January 1st, 2012

Two members of the Trust Board have been taking part in Decembeard which has involved not shaving for the whole of December. John and Steven have been collecting sponsorship all month and the total money raised will be split evenly between Raith Rovers FC and Maggies. The guys have agreed to extend their hairy period for an extra two days to take in the Dundee game on January the 2nd.  So there is still a chance to sponsor John or Steven and help raise some vital needed funds for the Rovers and for Maggies. They will be at the Supporters Trust table in the south stand and any last minute donations are welcome!

Barnardo’s backs young Rovers ticket scheme

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

A scheme that provides free match tickets to young people around the Kirkcaldy area has received the backing of Barnardo’s Scotland. The initiative which has been running for three years was set up by Rovers Down South, a group of Rovers exiles based south of the border and has been supported by the Raith Rovers Supporters Trust. It distributes around 40 free tickets each season and many children and young people who have benefited from the scheme are from disadvantaged backgrounds in the local community and may not normally get the chance to support their local team.

Limited Edition Ronnie Coyle ‘Baresi’ T-shirts

Friday, March 18th, 2011

We are delighted to announce that the Raith Supporters Trust have produced a limited edition Ronnie Coyle t-shirt for his benefit game on the 27th March.  The ‘Baresi’ t-shirt celebrates the legend that is Ronnie Coyle.

The t-shirts will be on sale at Ronnie’s benefit game on 27th March at the Supporters Trust table in the south stand. They are priced a very reasonable £10 and every penny of that will be donated to the Ronnie Coyle Benefit Fund. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis on the day so make sure you don’t miss out!

Get well soon Ronnie

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Raith fans received the sad news last week that former player Ronnie Coyle’s health has taken a turn for the worse, with his body rejecting the bone marrow transplant he received earlier this year. It was thought that he had beaten leukaemia, but unfortunately that now appears to have been just a half-time lead, and he’ll have to put in a good second half performance to see it off again.

All of our thoughts are with Ronnie and his family at this very difficult time. If you would like to help the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity you can make a donation HERE, and if you would like to show your support to Ronnie you can buy one of our icon t-shirts HERE. The Raith Supporters Trust will donate all profits from the sale of these two t-shirts to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

We have a couple of boxes of leftover pint glasses from “Stramash 2010”, the beer festival we held in deep midwinter back at the start of April 😉

However, we can deliver these locally (Kirkcaldy/Glenrothes area) or arrange a time when you can collect them from us in Kirkcaldy.

They’re on sale at £2 each, with discounts for a set of 4 (£7) or set of 6 (£10). They are heavy conical 20oz glasses, with the RRFC logo printed on one side in navy blue, and “STRAMASH 2010” printed on the other side.
