“Reclaim the Rovers” public launchPrint This Post

The “Reclaim the Rovers” bid will be officially launched to supporters with an open meeting on TUESDAY 15th FEBRUARY at the Parkway Hotel, 6 Abbotshall Road, Kirkcaldy with a 7.30 p.m. start.

The public launch will outline the ways in which all interested parties can assist the bid, explain the concept of the community club to supporters in some detail as well as take questions from the public.

It is no exaggeration to say that this meeting will be absolutely critical to the success of “Reclaim the Rovers”. It is essential that as many people as possible attend this event to give the bid the start it requires. This is an area in which every fan can easily help. Firstly by attending you will be registering your support for the bid. But secondly, and just as crucial, is for you to spread the word of the launch to your friends and colleagues and encourage them to attend as well.

A public campaign such as “Reclaim the Rovers” has to make an early impact to create a sense of momentum and there is no better way of ensuring that than by packing out the Parkway with Rovers’ fans on the 15th.

The event will also mark the first real opportunity for supporters to contribute financially to “Reclaim the Rovers”. Inevitably the campaign will only be successful if we are able to raise significant sums of money therefore we hope that we will be able to make a good start to that fund-raising effort for the sake of all who care for the Rovers.

The time for talking is over. Action is necessary if Raith Rovers supporters are serious about the aims of “Reclaim the Rovers”. We can’t rely on anyone else so it is up to each and every one of us to do as much as we can to achieve our goals.
