Trust Board Meeting, 20th September 2004

Minutes of previous meeting

Minutes were agreed as a fair record of the previous meeting



Treasurer’s report

£10,870 with some bills due soon for leaflets and badges (£700)

Around £500 is still coming in by Standing Order

Letters to be sent in October to members who are still paying monthly



Membership update

Currently at 141 – 108 Founders, 26 New Adult, 7 New Junior



Matters Arising

Status of the co-opted rep to be determined by next meeting

Working Groups:

  • Shares – Proposed last meeting still to be convened. A short report would be issued in late Autumn
  • Land Petition – Consultation on local plan doesn’t start until Easter 05
  • Business Plan – current figures to be emailed to the trust board



Fans’ Forum:

  • Invites out to around 40 individuals/businesses
  • 300 leaflets distributed and info on website
  • Trust board to act as facilitators and help register fans on the day
  • Photos of the event are required for publicity
  • Report to follow in late October



Membership Drive:

  • Sluggish response to the membership drive but more opportunities to sign fans up
  • Speak to FFP about helping in the future
  • Get posters made up for local businesses



Junior Members:

  • Disclosure Scotland – Nominate 2 board members to go through the procedure
  • TP currently is able to work with children through Enhanced Disclosure
  • Speak to Phil Tooley about Junior members at Chesterfield
  • Approach Trust member Kenny Stevenson about involvement



Anti-Racism Tournament:

  • Is on course with teams now entering
  • Volunteers required to assist on the day
  • [Note: Need to decide whether to do something more significant at the Hamilton match]



10th Anniversary:

  • Club wanted trust to make 27/11 a significant income generator – given the time, resource and current atmosphere surrounding the club the trust is unable to organise an event on the clubs terms
  • CP will canvas opinion from a selection of Rovers programme sponsors to determine whether there is any opportunity to assist in any way



AOCB

Fundraising – hold over until next meeting

Match Sponsorship – unable to take up clubs offer at such short notice

Supporters Charter – club looking for input
