A report commissioned by the Scottish Football League has found that the organisation is not fit for the modern day business environment and staff are “institutionalised and demoralised”<\/p>\n

The report by accountants and business advisors, PKF, also states that the SFL lacks a ‘commercial engine’ which, given that two of the three competitions it runs are without a sponsor, isn’t exactly surprising.<\/p>\n

In addition the BBC reports that the SFL costs much more to administrate than similar leagues in England and that staffing levels are way above those required for other larger league set-ups.<\/p>\n
