Trust Survey results now available

We are delighted to share with you the findings from the first stage of our fan survey conducted late last year. Opinion was surveyed at the Dunfermline game in November and online through this website. We received a total of 321 responses from fans – an increase of 16% on the last time the survey was run in 2003 – making it the biggest ever survey of Raith fans.

The results show that the club has made great progress since a similar survey was conducted in 2003 with positive ratings on all aspects of the match day experience from atmosphere in the ground through to the range and quality of merchandise in the Club Shop. There have been major shifts in how people feel about the club and fans are now much more positive about all aspects of Raith Rovers Football club with an incredible 99% of fans believing that the club is heading in the right direction. This feel good factor was as much about what is happening off the field as it was about performances on the pitch with strong support for the efforts of Directors to stabilise the club and a belief that the Club’s relations with the wider community and local businesses had improved dramatically in recent years.

The findings show that fans are now more optimistic than ever about the future of their club although still concerned about the financial future of the club. Ensuring financial stability for the club was seen as the main challenge facing Raith Rovers. The hard work put in by the Raith Trust and other supporters groups in the Raith Forum during the Reclaim the Rovers campaign was recognised with strong backing for the fact that there was now a fans representative on the Board of the Football Club. The full results were presented to the RRFC board just before New Year and received a positive response.

Full findings are available here.

The Trust is now going to conduct a couple of focus group sessions with fans to discuss the results and to hear firsthand what people think of the club and their concerns for the future. Details of these will be announced in due course but if you are interested in taking part and having your say please email Steven Lawther.
