Trust Helps Promotion Push

The Supporters’ Trust has made another significant effort to help Raith Rovers.

After a democratic vote of all members it was agreed to purchase a further 5,000 shares and to contribute to the club for the remainder of this season.

Chairman George Howie explained, “Members of the Trust have demonstrated their willingness to assist the club in their push for an immediate return to the First Division. This decision will help cement the already strong relationship between the Trust and Raith Rovers which can only benefit football in Kirkcaldy.”

This significant purchase makes the Trust the fifth largest shareholder in Raith Rovers’ ownership company and reaffirms the aim of becoming a significant shareholder. Overall the Trust has raised over £18,000 in under two years.

The Trust Board expressed satisfaction that over two-thirds of Trust members voted in this ballot. It was also significant that three directors of RRFC, including majority shareholder Danny Smith, were in attendance to answer many of the fans serious concerns.

Given the importance of this season all Raith Rovers fans are urged to join the Trust and directly influence the strength of the team in the coming months.
