Trust Board Meeting, 9th February 2022

Attendance: Graeme Baxter, Colin Flinn, Steven Lawther, James Proctor, Alan Russell, Andy Simpson, Steve Wallace

Apologies: Graeme Condie.

  1. People are now receiving personal email responses from the Club Chairman. Some similarities but also differences in response.
  2. Need to co-ordinate actions and speak with one voice. Co-ordinate with other fans groups and volunteers. Hear from members to understand what needs to change to move the club forward.
  3. CEO meetings – ideally each meeting should have a consistent message from supporter representatives – need to hear from other fan groups to understand their views.
  4. Big question of when fans and volunteers return – best left to individual decisions although the volunteers issue has the biggest effect on the club.
  5. Biggest question is how to de-toxify the club after this decision – it isn’t a question of a boycott, protest or list of demands – want to present the club with a list of positive actions that will help the club to move on from this decision, resolve the problems and restore the good name of the club in the community and wider. It is for individual fans and sponsors to make their own decision whether they come back to the club.

Actions:

  • Establish a campaign group in partnership with other fans organisations
  • Agree a list of positive actions the club should take – this needs engagement from general fanbase, volunteers and major backers
  • Discuss positive actions with club at CEO meeting (or just listen and come back later)
  • Engage members and wider support base – member email and potentially online meeting
  • Additional: Consider new board members for Trust.
