Allan Butchart has decided against joining the board due to other commitments. Chris MacFarlane joined the meeting as an observer.
Treasurers Update
AR to put CM in touch with previous Treasurer Graeme Condie
The financial year 22-23 ended on 30 June
CF to get access to bank account
Membership
Approximately 152 full members
Recruitment
- Aiming to do a recruitment drive at home match on 12 September.
- Need to put a plan together to get key messages out, use all communication channels and give people a reason to join.
- Ideas for the day include stickers for Trust members, leaflets, QR code for easy joining, etc
- CF to work with CS, SW & possibly contact Greig Porter to get his ideas from last year.
Club & Raith Forum update
Forum met the previous evening with Andrew Barrowman from the club in attendance
Update given on works within Stark’s Park and their own ideas about future development
Buyout deal isn’t clear but new board are in place and Stark’s Park is being modernised
Supporter Director (SD) Role:
- No intention from new board to invite the elected SD onto the board
- The buyout has meant there’s less legal force to have the SD appointed to the club board but should be on the New Raith Rovers Board
- Possibility of a new management board to sit below the club board and this may include the SD
- Need to communicate this changed role to members/supporters
- Need to provide SD with appropriate support
